Leaves: deciduous, alternate, .375" long, .0625" wide, linear, rich green

Twigs: glabrous green stems

Flowers: perfect, yellow, .375" long, bloom May through June

Fruit: pod, glabrous, 8-12 seeds

Bark: green, not spiny, stipules persistent, pith small rounded continuous, leaf scars raised, one distinct bundle trace
