Size: tree, 30-45' average height at maturity, spread 10-20'

Leaves: evergreen, scales closely appressed, pointed, keeled or rounded on back, .13-.25" long, gray-green or blue-green top and bottom, no white markings

Twigs: mostly pendulous

Flowers: monoecious, males bright yellow

Fruit: cones .33-.5", globose, dark red-brown

Bark: brownish gray, irregular fissures separating into large thin scales
